How IndieTools Speed ranking works
Each eligible product receives two controlled Google PageSpeed mobile lab runs. The complete pair is averaged; failed or partial runs never receive a placeholder score.
Performance Score ranks first. Ties are resolved by load time, LCP, CLS, TTFB and a stable identity key, in that order. Paid plans, Boost and advertising never affect rank.
Rankings refresh each ISO week from Monday 00:00 UTC. Finalized weekly results and awards remain permanently attached to their original evidence.

Methodology questions
IndieTools Speed FAQ
- How does IndieTools Speed rank products?
- The latest eligible pair of controlled Google PageSpeed mobile lab runs is averaged. Performance Score ranks first; load time, LCP, CLS, TTFB and a stable identity key resolve ties.
- How often are products tested?
- Competition measurements run in a controlled weekly window. Extra monitoring results may appear on a Product page, but they do not enter the weekly ranking unless the published measurement policy marks them eligible.
- Does paying change Speed rank?
- No. Authority, Boost, Promote, advertising and every other paid feature have zero influence on Speed scores, ranks or awards.
- When does the competition reset?
- A competition follows the ISO week from Monday 00:00 UTC until the next Monday 00:00 UTC. The active ranking changes each week; measurements, awards and finalized results remain available.
- What happens to previous weekly results?
- Finalized leaderboards are immutable archives. They retain their exact date range, ranking and measurement methodology and continue to link to the canonical Product pages.
