Getting started

Add a feed to your reader

Use the full XML address shown above. Each entry opens the original public page on IndieTools.

  1. Choose the feed that matches what you want to follow.

  2. Copy its XML URL into the add-feed or subscribe field in your RSS reader.

  3. Read new entries in your reader, then open the original page for its wider context.

Read beyond the latest page

Each topic feed contains up to 40 entries per page. Its XML includes navigation links to available pages, so a feed client can continue through all currently eligible public entries. The combined feed stays a recent digest of up to 20 products and 20 articles.

The XML links identify the current page, first page and last page, with previous or next links when those pages exist. Follow the supplied next link to continue. RSS readers vary in whether they load older pages automatically.

Questions about RSS feeds

Which IndieTools RSS feed should I choose?
Choose Articles for full published writing, Products for public product details, or Founder updates for full public posts. Speed and Domain Rating provide weekly edition notices with links to their results. The combined feed mixes recent products and articles without pagination.
Can I read full articles and product details in my RSS reader?
Yes. Article entries include the full published body, with formatted text and links plus available author names, categories and cover images. Product entries include their public descriptions and available features, pricing models, taxonomy, founder profiles, screenshots and links. Founder updates include their full public text. The original pages remain linked from every entry.
How do I subscribe to an XML feed?
Copy the full XML URL and paste it into the add-feed or subscribe field in your RSS reader. An XML page may look like code in your browser; the same address is ready for a reader to use. No IndieTools account or API key is required.
How often do feeds update?
Feeds are cached for up to 5 minutes. Your reader may check less frequently. New public entries appear after the feed refreshes; Speed and Domain Rating feeds add notices when an eligible weekly edition is finalized.
Do the ranking feeds include live scores?
Speed and Domain Rating feeds contain notices and summaries of finalized weekly editions, not the complete ranking tables or every live score change. Open the linked edition for its dates, eligible products, scores and measurement context.
How can I reach older entries?
The five topic feeds offer pagination with up to 40 entries per page. Follow the next link supplied in the XML while another page is available. Together, the pages cover entries currently eligible for that public feed. The combined /rss.xml feed contains only up to 20 recent products and 20 recent articles and does not paginate.
Does full content include private or unpublished information?
No. Feed entries use the same public visibility rules as their original pages. Private posts, unpublished products and articles, and other ineligible records are excluded. Full content means the public content of an eligible entry, not private account information or removed history.
