About Snapkin
Snapkin is a calorie tracker you use by photographing your plate. There is no scale to weigh with, no barcode to scan and no database to search. Take one photo per meal. Snapkin works out what is on the plate, how many calories it has, and how much protein you have had today.
Where it is not sure, it asks one question about whatever would change the number most. It writes the answer down as one plain sentence you can read, edit or delete, so it asks less about your kitchen every week.
It runs on iPhone and Android in 10 languages, and costs €9.99 a month or €99.99 a year after a 3-day free trial. No ads, no analytics, no tracking. Made by Robot Studios IT Consultancy BV, an independent software company in Belgium.
- Who it is for
- People who want to track calories and protein without weighing, scanning or searching every meal.
- Problem it solves
- Most people quit calorie trackers because logging is work: weighing rice, scanning barcodes and picking the right entry out of a long list, several times a day.
- The solution
- You take one photo per meal. Snapkin names what is on the plate, estimates portions and calories, adds your protein for the day, and asks one question when a detail would change the number most.
- What makes it unique
- The estimate is never dressed up as a measurement: the app shows what it assumed and lets you correct it, and it remembers your answers so it asks less every week. No ads, no analytics, no tracking.
Starting price: €9.99 per month
