SnapRender
SnapRender — Screenshot API for agencies and developers: send a URL, get a real Chrome capture back as PNG, JPEG, WebP or PDF, with scheduled captures and a hosted MCP server
About SnapRender
SnapRender is a screenshot API for agencies, developers and AI agents. Send a URL and get back a pixel-accurate capture from real Chrome as PNG, JPEG, WebP or PDF, either the visible viewport or the whole scrolling page.
Agencies use it to keep monthly client reports visual without opening a browser, and to watch competitor pricing pages with scheduled captures that fire a webhook when something changes. Developers call it from their own product, from CI to see what a deploy changed, or in bulk with batches of 50 URLs. AI agents use the hosted MCP server to see pages and read them as markdown.
Cookie banners and ads are blocked before capture, device presets cover desktop, tablet and mobile, and signed URLs let you embed captures publicly without exposing your API key. SDKs: Node.js, Python, Go.
Free plan: 200 captures a month with every feature, no credit card. Paid plans from $9 a month.
- Who it is for
- Web agencies reporting to clients, developers who need page captures in their own product or CI, and teams building AI agents.
- Problem it solves
- Capturing a web page sounds simple until you run it in production. A self-hosted headless browser needs memory, font packages and constant upkeep, and it still trips over cookie consent walls, lazy-loaded images and pages that render differently on mobile. Agencies end up taking client report screenshots by hand every month. Developers lose days keeping a Puppeteer box alive. AI agents that only read raw HTML miss what a page actually shows a visitor.
- The solution
- One HTTPS request returns the finished image or PDF. SnapRender opens the page in real Chrome, blocks cookie banners and ads, waits for the content, and hands back a full-page or above-the-fold capture for desktop, tablet or mobile. Batches of up to 50 URLs run in one call, scheduled captures can send a webhook when a page changes, and the extract endpoint returns the page text as markdown. Official SDKs for Node.js, Python and Go, an OpenAPI spec and a Postman collection keep the integration short, and AI assistants like Claude connect through the hosted MCP server.
- What makes it unique
- Every feature is on every plan, including the free one: 200 captures a month with no credit card, then flat monthly plans from $9 instead of per-feature add-ons. It is built for three audiences at once, so the same account covers an agency's scheduled client reports, a developer's API calls and an AI agent's MCP tools. Signed URLs let you embed fresh captures in public pages without exposing your key, and failed renders never count against your quota.
Starting price: $9 / month

What do DR4, DR3 and the model difference mean?
- DR4:
- Ahrefs' newer model. It gives more weight to links from sites with organic search traffic and rates a subdomain on its own links.
- DR3:
- The previous model, shown in the Ahrefs app until 1 December 2026.
- Model difference:
- DR4 minus DR3 for the same domain. The models calculate differently, so this is not growth or a drop; the “since” lines compare each model with itself.
