Backspace: macOS Live Wallpapers

Your Mac deserves more than a still background.

Backspace brings more than 1,000 live wallpapers to your desktop and Lock Screen, with 4K scenes designed for Retina displays. Explore nature, space, anime, fantasy and more. Preview every wallpaper at full size, save your favorites and apply a new scene in one click.

Create playlists that change automatically throughout the day. Choose the rotation interval, arrange wallpapers with drag and drop and set a different scene for each display.

Backspace pauses playback when the wallpaper is covered, hidden or behind a full-screen app, keeping performance smooth and power use low.

Built natively for macOS 14 and later. Start with a 7-day free trial, then unlock Backspace with one purchase. No subscription.
