About Acres
Acres is a local-first visual Markdown workspace for macOS and Windows. Arrange notes as cards on an infinite canvas, connect related ideas, and organize research with mindmaps, sections, tags and properties. Your notes stay in a folder you own.
Built-in AI helps you search, write and organize notes. External AI agents can work with the workspace through MCP and CLI, with reviewable edits and undo history.
Try the full app free for 14 days. The early-adopter personal desktop license is a one-time $59 USD purchase. After the trial, notes remain accessible in read-only mode until purchase.
