Answers without interruption: search illustration with IndieTools branding

A game companion earns its place by answering the question that interrupted play. Evaluate how quickly you can identify the right entry, understand its conditions and return to the game, including when the phone has no usable connection.

The Portugal product collection includes Pokopedia and Stardew Valley Tracker. They serve different games, so they are examples of companion workflows rather than direct substitutes. Their country association does not establish a preferred language, the developer's residence or official endorsement by a game's publisher.

Start with the question, not the feature count

Choose a task that you encounter repeatedly. A Pokopia player might need the conditions associated with a habitat. A Stardew Valley player might need a calendar reminder or a missing collection item. Write down the exact information needed to continue playing.

Then inspect the result presentation. Does the entry expose the relevant conditions together, or must you jump between several screens? Can you distinguish reference information from your own progress? A long feature list is less useful than a clear answer to the interruption you actually experience.

Separate reference data from personal state

Pokopedia's site distinguishes its public web reference from an app with bundled data and personal tracking. Stardew Valley Tracker describes both lookup features and farm organization.

That distinction suggests two different tests. First, find an unfamiliar item or condition. Second, record something you have already completed. Check whether the interface makes it obvious which information comes from the guide and which information you entered. Confusing the two can make an incomplete checklist look like a missing reference entry.

Test offline behavior deliberately

After preparing the app normally, disable connectivity and repeat your selected lookup. Search for an entry you did not open during the preparation. This helps distinguish a broadly available reference from a few recently cached screens.

Check images, search results and explanatory details separately. A headline may remain available while the detail needed to act disappears. Record the app version and preparation steps with the result. The provider's offline claim is the starting point for this suggested test, not evidence that IndieTools performed it.

Check the game context

Confirm that the guidance corresponds to the game version and content you are playing. Look for distinctions between base content, updates and optional material where relevant. Do not treat a guide's completion percentage as meaningful without understanding which set of content it counts.

Also review whether the app clearly presents itself as an independent companion. That helps readers understand the source of the guidance and where to report a discrepancy. A useful fan project can provide substantial help without being an official publisher application.

Make the interface fit the play session

Try the reference on the device you expect to use beside the game. Check text size, contrast, search terms and the number of taps needed to return to your previous entry. Inspect whether a notification, orientation change or app switch loses the current context.

Finish with a short preference record: the tasks answered well, the limitations that matter and the evidence still needed. For personal progress rather than reference lookup, continue with the companion multiple-save and recovery review. It tests the state you would be reluctant to lose.
